A Woodland Walk

Yesterday, it being a lovely and sunny Sunday, my Mum and I decided it might be a grand idea to take Penny for a nice little stroll round our local woods. And, as the weather was a bit more pleasant than we're used to here (hey... it's Cornwall!),  I thought I would forego my standard jeans & triple-insulated jacket combo and go for something a little more Summer-inspired!

I chose an old favourite of mine- a classic, button-up shirt dress that's so easy to wear and goes really well with a comfy jumper or cardigan popped over the top! And, as there was still a bit of a chill in the air that morning, I also decided that some tights and a pair of long, knee-length socks rolled over the tops of my wellies might be a good idea :)

                                    

For accessories, I paired my laid-back look with this simple yet stylish maple wood watch from JORD. This timepiece has such a classic design that it pretty much goes with everything in my wardrobe... but, I particularly love the way it looks when paired with chunky jumpers and sweaters! The texture of the wood creates such a lovely contrast against the material of my woolly jumper and you can see for yourself how fab it looks, glinting away in that early morning sunshine!

I think it might have something to do with the fact that the watch is made of all-natural wood, so it feels right at home on our little woodland trek :)

We had such a pleasant stroll through the trees and, thankfully, the weather held out long enough for us to give Penny a proper good run! I think she might have been slightly weirded out by us milling about off the beaten track to take our pictures, so it was great to let her off her lead afterwards and play a spot of fetch!
